Having outgrown their current office, the client had made the decision to shift the operations of the business out of the building and into a newly renovated office building (The Union Building) just down the road from their current location. This would offer them more space to continue to grow the Aston Shaw team.

Rather than moving another business into the building, the client had identified the potential  to convert the space into a series of modern flats. This would complete a life cycle of sorts for the building, which was originally built for accommodation purposes, before being converted into the office space which Aston Shaw moved in to. [/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”The Objective ” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:25|text_align:left|line_height:5″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]In order for this transformation to become a reality however, we would need to create drawing plans for the new layout of the flats, as well as the proposed elevations of the project to which would allow for the flats to be built within the property. Once these plans were complete, we would then need to send them off to building control to be approved.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”The Result” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:25|text_align:left|line_height:5″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]At the beginning of the project, we met with the client the discuss the options available, and with such a large area of space to play with, there were plenty available. After having agreed upon what was to be done, we began by undertaking a measured site survey and taking photos of all the different areas within the building where the work would take place.

Survey complete and photos taken, we set to work on the drawings for the location and intricate block plans for the project. Having completed this stage of the project, we could then move on to drawing the existing plans and elevations which would be required to convert the existing office space in to an area which is comfortable to live for all the future occupants.

Once these plans were completed, we could then beginning designing the proposed drawings for each of the flats which were to be built within the building. We then met the client once again, and shared with him our drawings for the flat, and asked if there were any changes he would like made.

Having assured us he was happy with the drawings for the flats, we could then move on to the final stage of drawing which involved creating the final proposed plans and elevations for the building which were to be sent of to building control.

Having completed and sent off the plans, the renovation of the building has swiftly moved through the all the different stages of the project right through to completion. And because of the excellent work which went in to creating the flats, it didn’t take long for them to start attracting a lot of attention, with a number of the flats now housing tenants.

If you have a project which you’d like some assistance with, get in touch with us today, we’ll be more than happy to help.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Testimonial ” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:25|text_align:left|line_height:5″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text]”Having only recently moved out of the office at the time, we couldn’t believe how quickly Envision CAD were able to draw up the plans for the project. They were always happy to answer any questions we had, and the work they produced was faultless. Envision CAD is a big reason why this project was so successful.”
